There are many trends in cooking, and everywhere for that matter, that ebb and flow, come and go, change change change . . .One of them for a while was the maxi-spice way of cooking, where as many flavors that could be dreamt up as compatible were added to a dish to make for a supremely complex flavor. More recently in the food world, the trend is toward focusing on a single flavor component of a dish to let it shine. This might be as extreme as not adding a single spice at all, and letting that red pepper taste like . . . a red pepper. This is something to consider in your voiceover read when examining those words and making choices on what to do with them. Yes. The “less is more” trend.

Quickbooks. Help your business grow. Guaranteed.
That’s it. Not much to work with there, and so many people will want to dump a million spices on top to make it “more.” But this is not authentic. This is not real. This will not let anything special shine. Most importantly, dumping too many flavors onto this won’t allow your POINT to get across. So, what IS your point? Knowing your POINT is critical and we discussed this a bit from another angle in this article on voiceover technique last year. Your point here? – it’s that Quickbooks guarantees to grow your business. In the middle sentence, you will make your point. Is your point about HELP? Vague. Is it about your BUSINESS? Yes, but what about it? What do all business owners want for their business? For it to GROW. So assume an intelligent audience can understand the assumption that the subject is about their business, and assume that this promotion will tell them how the product can help. The underlining value here will be that word GROW. Let it shine, and only it, and you will have made your POINT. By using that one singular word as your emphasis, you allow it stand out. You have spiced your sentence properly and elegantly.
