{"id":54,"date":"2013-01-14T03:44:12","date_gmt":"2013-01-14T03:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.voiceovergurus.com\/guru_blog\/?p=54"},"modified":"2013-07-24T22:23:39","modified_gmt":"2013-07-24T22:23:39","slug":"voiceover-technique-and-your-product-pt-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/voiceovergurus.com\/guru_blog\/voiceover-technique-and-your-product-pt-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Voiceover Technique and your Product (Pt. 2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">In a December <\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.voiceovergurus.com\/guru_blog\/?p=44\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Voiceover technique blog<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> you learned about avoiding the pitfall of basing your entire way of reading a script on what the product is that you are selling.\u00a0 You learned that the writer is usually the one picking the voice for the job, not the people at the company that make the product.\u00a0 Therefore, you want to really pick apart that script to see what the writer was trying to do with it.\u00a0 Each writer has a personality that goes beyond the product.\u00a0 No writer will see a McDonald\u2019s burger and just write a \u201cjuicy\u201d spot, nor would he see a bank and just write a spot rich with nuances to \u201csecurity.\u201d\u00a0 A writer\u2019s imagination goes beyond the product because they cannot help but exercise their creative potential.\u00a0 You must really find this personal stamp that they have made and bring it to life.\u00a0 Again we look at the voiceover script to break it down:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: ArialMT, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">You asked for it.
